A simple declaration. ?>

A simple declaration.

I am an Israeli citizen.

I am an Israeli Patriot.

I am a Zionist.

I am religious.

I am a feminist.

I believe in equality, be it gender equality, racial equality, LGBTQ equality, and others.

I love this country. Dearly.

I love its people.

I love its music.

I love its mountains and I love its deserts.

I love its buses and I love its beaches.

I love its bars and I love its cafes.

I love Tel Aviv and I love Jerusalem.

I love it all so much, I moved here.

I am a Jew who decided to move to Israel.

I am an immigrant. An Oleh Chadash.

I served in the army. I was a Lone Soldier.

I am a leftist.

I am against the occupation. Because

I love this country.

I dream of my Israeli state and a Palestinian state side-by-side.

I believe this country shouldn’t be just any country, but a country of values. So

I fight for a stronger democracy in Israel.

I fight for human rights in Israel.

I fight for freedom of press in Israel. Because

I love this country.

You call me a traitor.

You tell me I’m not really Israeli.

You call me an “American” as if I don’t belong here.

You call me an anti-Semite.

You call me an anti-Zionist.

You yell at me.

You hit me.

You call me a traitor to my country? Because

I despair over its faults? Because

I feel forced to action to protect that which I love? Because

I think many and all different types of people and peoples deserve rights?

You can call me wrong.

You can call me naive.

You can call me stupid.

You can call me a dreamer. But

You have absolutely no right to call me a traitor.
